19th-Century Antique Spanish Colonial St Peter Santos

An antique Spanish Colonial santos of carved wood with gesso, gilt, and polychrome paint. Holding a book and in apostolic garb, the santos looks to be of St. Peter. His right hand, with the pose of the thumb touching the third finger, indicates that he is preaching. A message is illuminated at his heart ("...dei"?). 8 1/2" high. Wear to the head, base, back, and hand, all as shown -- please examine the photographs.
