Antique 1782 Engraving of the River Thames


An antique 18th-century engraving of "A View from RICHMOND HILL down the River Thames." The engraving was published by Alexander Hogg (artist unknown), 1782. A view of the river, the surrounding southwest London landscape with trees, meadows, and buildings, with people in the foreground; elaborate grape leaf border; hand-tinted. Professionally framed, mid-century, with a blue mat and gold faux-aged frame. 18.5ʺW × 0.75ʺD × 14.5ʺH. Very good condition. Light discoloration at the bottom edge of the print, prior to framing.
