Antique 19th-Century Beaded Needlepoint Spaniel Dog Wall Pocket

An antique, 19th-century (c. 1860s-1870s) wall pocket, letter holder, or newspaper and mail rack, with a carved wood backing with leaves in the Eastlake style (almost as heavy as Black Forest), with a classical bust in relief at the top. The front is guimp-trimmed needlepoint, with a tricolor spaniel dog beaded in a botanical wreath. 12"x24"x5"
