A 19th-century, French, majolica barbotine pitcher, with raised details in the Palissy style. Dark earthenware with a dark brown tin glaze, "La Chaux de Fonds" with a heraldic shield with a beehive and bees, and a wreath of grapes and leaves, with the grapevine becoming the handle. 7.5ʺW × 5.25ʺD × 9ʺH. Significant wear, including chips on the rim and at the base, damage to the grapevine detail, and wear to the raised lettering - please see photos. It holds water.
