An antique Victorian white linen petticoat skirt with a deep lace-work border. The petticoat forms a layer at the mid-line, with a plain linen underskirt and the laced linen overskirt. Two rows of the same lace, and at the bottom a gathered edge with the lace design slightly smaller but in the same pattern, and with a scalloped edge. Open waist with tie closure. Some very small imperfections to the lace. Freshly laundered, starched, and pressed. c. 1880-1890.
