Lover's Eye Painting on a Limoges Dish with Napoleonic Bees

Lover's Eye miniature paintings were popular in the late 18th and early 19th centuries (Georgian and Regency periods), and were frequently incorporated in rings and lockets. This is a larger, modern version in oil, on an antique Limoges porcelain dish with gold gilt Napoleonic bees and stars. 4"x7/8".
