Mid-Century Frey Wille Austrian Enamel Bowl


A vintage, mid-century, c. 1950s Austrian rare tole enamel bowl by Michaela Frey, who then specialized in enamel jewelry under Frey Wille. Center illustration of a carriage carrying presents pulled by a pair of plumed horses, with flowers and birds. Scalloped edges for a trefoil form. White with yellow, pink, and blue coloring and gold gilt details. Made in Austria, on the base. A style of mid-century enamel serveware typically made by Steinbock Email, but Frey. 7.5ʺW × 7.5ʺD × 1.6ʺH. Some discoloration inside the bowl, and some rim chips, as shown.
