A vintage plate, hand painted with an illustration of the Deer Dancer, Sowi-Ingwa, Kachina spirit, by Native American artist Dixon Shebala (1940-1977) of the Zuni Pueblo tribe from the Zuni Reservation in McKinley County, New Mexico. Signed "Shebala '62." Painted on a Bauer pottery deep dish plate base. 10.25ʺW × 1ʺD × 10.25ʺH. Light loss to the paint, as shown.
