Lover's Lips Painting on a Florentine Painted Frame

Lover's Eye - and sometimes Lover's Lips - miniature paintings were popular in the late 18th and early 19th centuries (Georgian and Regency periods), and were frequently incorporated in rings and lockets. This is a larger, modern version in oil, on a vintage, mid-century, Florentine, Italian wood frame base, hand-painted in olive green and buff, with a red border. 4.75"x6.25"
