A set of two (2) vintage antique French chromolithograph publicity advertising trading cards by the shoe company Janton, specializing in children's shoes. The children are illustrations of jeux de mots, puns, the one with Jean Dort (Jean is sleeping -- j'endors, "I'm sleeping"), and the second with Jean Bon (Jean Ham -- jambon, "ham"). Gold backgrounds. Last quarter of the 19th-century. 4 1/2" by 3".
