An antique silverplate biscuit barrel or biscuit tin, with an intricate chased floral design. Beaded base; nob handle top; hinged top lid; four round ball feet. Wear to the plate, as shown (not sure if the darker stops can be removed; the lighter spots on the top are the brass showing through). Mid-1800s. Marked on the base 518. Probably English. 6 1/4" high by 7 1/4" wide by 5 1/4" deep.
