HISTORY
Good question! I've written about their history here.
Another good question! I've written about that here.
That's none other than Maria Fitzherbert, the morganic wife of King George IV, whose love affair played an important part in the history of Lover's Eyes.
COLLABORATIONS
Yes. No. Sometimes..... Sign up for The Lover's Eye society, which among other things is my newsletter, and I'll let you know when I can take in a few commissions. You'll find it at the bottom of this page.

ORDERS
Yes. Please send a note if the shipping seems high, especially on multiple items, and we'll look into it. Also, please note that tariffs and customs are not included and that it is easier to track packages from your end through your country's postal service as our tracking usually ends once the package leaves the U.S., but we'll always do our best to follow a package from here to there. We can also look into DHL or your preferred shipping provider upon request.
The calculated shipping algorithm is usually accurate, but sometimes it goes a little wild - especially for international orders with multiple items. Please send a note here to inquire.
Rest easy, either your package has been delayed and will arrive soon, or if something untoward has happened you will receive either a replacement or a refund.
When you place an order, you will receive an automatic message with the tracking number as soon as we have your package ready to ship.
Usually we use USPS, but occasionally we use UPS.
I frequently post paintings immediately upon completion, and sometimes I need to wait a few days before shipping to make sure the paint is dry. Thanks for your patience!
For items with multiple orders, there might be multiple packages (e.g., a print will ship in an envelope and a painting will ship in a box).
If a package is marked "Delivered" and you think it might not have been, please check with your local USPS (or UPS) first, as they'll know what's happened better than we will.
Contact us with any shipping questions you can't otherwise resolve, and we'll help look into it!
Oh no! Oh no! Very rarely, and despite our best efforts, our packaging does not survive the attack of the gorillas at the post office. In this case, you will be entitled to your choice of a replacement or a refund.
We will file the insurance claim on our side, so we ask that you please help us by taking photos of the unboxing (as soon as you suspect damage) and any breakage within.
We'll do everything to make sure you end up with a piece you love!

DISPLAY
The oil paintings on antique china are decorative only! They're really oil paintings like other oil paintings except they happen to be on plates, and so they cannot endure use. For these the answer is a regretful: nope.
The ceramic dishes, on the other hand, can indeed be used and I made them precisely because so many people have asked me if the plates can be used and I wanted to also be able to say of some of them: YES!
If a plate is paired with a papered wood frame, there will be a sawtooth hanger on the back for easy wall hanging.
For larger plates and platters that do not come with a frame, metal wire-spring plate hangers are included. They're tricky to put on, but they do the job.
If a plate is too small, large, delicate, or unwieldy for a hanger, a stand will be included.
*If you prefer an invisible hanger, you can purchase a plate disc on Amazon or eBay, but we've found that these are unreliable. They can be used, however, if you supplement them with your own strong adhesive.*
