GUILLERMO AVILA PAZ
is a Bolivian-born fine-art photographer based in Utah. A two-time Olympic alpine skier, he returned to an early love of photography while recovering from a life-changing skiing accident in 2014.
His photographs of the Onaqui wild horses of Utah’s West Desert explore their majesty, freedom, and resilience, and reflect his commitment to the preservation of America’s wild horses. His work has been exhibited at Meyer Gallery and Art Access Gallery, and his photograph Refuge is held in the Salt Lake Community College Permanent Collection.
