Wrapping paper featuring Lover's Eye brooches to bring a touch of the Georgian era to any gift or celebration. This pattern is based on original watercolor paintings of historical pieces of jewelry which are held in private collections and museums.
Two sheets of high-quality 90 gsm fine-art wrapping paper, rolled, 30"x36". Choose between matte and gloss. These papers are available in a range of pastel colorways, and they coordinate with the ornaments, prints, and other offerings in this evolving collection.

THE HISTORY: Lover's Eyes were a jewelry trend c.1785-1830 of brooches set with tiny watercolor portraits on ivory. Since they were cropped to eyes, they were in many ways more direct and intimate than traditional miniature portraits; but also because they were just eyes, they were often used as daring public testimonies of clandestine love affairs with mystery lovers.
